IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization)

IASTMIASTM is a form of manual therapy designed to treat soft tissue disorders. This technique is used to treat new injuries as well as chronic conditions. IASTM is a soft-tissue treatment that utilizes instruments to breakup areas of fibrous scar tissue. After these adhesions are broken up, the body absorbs them allowing the body to heal properly, decreasing pain and improving function.

How does it work?

These tools effectively break down adhesions. fascial restrictions and scar tissue. After these adhesions are broken up, the body absorbs them allowing the area to heal properly, decreasing pain, and improving function and overall movement.

How many treatments are required?

Treatment varies depending on the injury. Typically, a course of treatment involves 2 sessions per week for 2-3 weeks.
